Provided finding a decent hotel isn't impossible this late. Have a five to so looking for family friendly activities/spots.
Is there something like a 'Xmas town' kind of thingy nearby that's worth a visit? Will probably swing by Niagara Falls on our way back. |

Depends on the dates you're travelling.
The Distillery district has a great market, but only on until Dec 22 http://www.torontochristmasmarket.com/tablet/index.html Most of the tourist venues will be open: CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, Science Centre, etc. The Zoo does 50% off admission on Boxing Day. |
thx. are most restaurants closed on 12/24? |
A lot will close early, but if you're in the tourist core, stuff will still be open, including on Christmas Day. This is from last year, but fairly par for the course on what you'll find open and closed on the actual stat days: http://www.cp24.com/news/what-s-open-and-closed-on-christmas-eve-christmas-day-and-boxing-day-2015-1.2711983 |
Sorry, hit send too soon. You're also not far from Chinatown, where there's all kinds of awesome food that will certainly be open! |
