What hotel at Disneyworld?

The question says it all. We're going with three little kids and are looking for convenience and good value. We don't care about luxury accommodations or dining.

I've been to Disney a number of times, and stayed a variety of different places. In my opinion, the value resorts are absolutely fine. I regret spending more for the deluxe resorts.

With 3 little kids, if I was going to "splurge" on a room, it would be upgrading to a family suite at Art of Animation or All Stars Music so we'd have 2 rooms. I'm a single mom with 1 kid, so we've never stayed at either, but I'm guessing they're as nice as All Star Movies, or Pop Century which we enjoyed.

Something on the monorail.

We did Pop Century. It was extremely reasonable and we never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus (late April so not peak season). However, 3 kids in a standard room would be pretty tight.

I would buy points and stay at the wyndham bonnet creek

Have you stayed both on and off the monorail?

Totally depends on what you want.

I personally hate the monorail. It smells bad and makes wmata look efficient.

We like animal kingdom because it's unique.

If you really are all about magic kingdom and are spending multiple days there, may make sense to stay at one of the closest ones like contempo (which is rather loud).

If you want space and a nice pool, art of animation is probably your best bet.

If you are only staying at disney to take advantage of the 60 day fast pass booking, stay someplace cheap like pop century.

If you just want a good deal get a motel rather than a hotel. This sounds miserable to me but it's your trip.

Art of Animation!!

With three little kids, I'd stay at the Wilderness Resort or the Contemporary for the convenience of being close to the parks with the boat and monorail options. Are you Military or DOD? If you are Shades of Green is a great option.

OP again. What do you like about it?

A little more information: my mom is going with us so we'll have two rooms and she'll let the older two stay in her room, so space isn't that important.

We loved Art of Animation last year. The rooms were spacious (we got suites), and we appreciated the kitchenette. It was magical for DS that we stayed in Mater's Tow Shop and could take a walk down Route 66. (The other themes are equally magical for fans of those movies.) There we're tons of things to do in and out of the pool area, including animation workshops.

We also never waited too long for a bus. It wasn't a huge deal for us, even with an impatient 4yo.

How old are your kids and when are you going?

I've never stayed at any of the values. I've stayed at all the moderates and some of the Deluxe level resorts.

Of the moderates, I really liked Port Orleans Riverside and Coronado Springs. I didn't care or Port Orleans French Quarter or Caribbean Beach.

We stayed at Art of Animation in a Cars suite and loved it. Our son is crazy for the Cars characters and they have about 10 life sized cars, plus lots of other elements from the Cars movies. The room gave us lots of space, and kids loved that the kitchen table folds down into a Murphy bed. The big Nemo themed pool was lots of fun, and restaurant there had something for all of us.

We've stayed at moderate and deluxe Disney Resorts in the past, but last summer decided to try the Swan (there's also the Dolphin). ThevSwan is newly renovated and I believe they were renovating the Dolphin. We loved it for the location. You can walk or ride a boat from the resort to Epcot and MGM, and it's a relatively short bus ride to the other parks.
