| good idea or bad? |
| I begged my parents for one of these as kid. When I finally got one, the tumbling noise drove them to madness and they hid it from me. |
| I've always wanted one. You could hide it while it's tumbling so you can't hear it. |
|
My son wanted one around that age. I read the reviews and nixed the idea. They are very, loud and take a very long time (think days).
|
| Bad idea. Loud, takes a really long time to make a difference. 99.9% of kids never make it to the first smooth rock. I was warned, ignored it, thought mY kid would be that .1%, and they were right. |
Me,too. |
| Better to buy them some polished rocks at a store. |
| I had to google this to see what you were talking about.........sigh |
| The noise is insane. You could put it outside, I suppose, but neighbors might think you're running a loud generator or something and complain to the police. I'm only exaggerating a tiny bit. |
| Considering this too. Is the noise SO loud that you couldn't put it in somewhere in the basement and ignore it? |
Yes. |
*sigh* Polished rocks from the store it is. |
| I bought one for my 5 year old and we enjoyed it. |
|
I have one similar to this:

|
The worst present I have ever given. We put it in the pavement and it was still so loud. We had to stop tumbling after three days.
