Tips for cruise packing

We are headed to Caribbean with 7 month old snd 4 year old. Suggestions on packing? Strollers? Clothes? Food?

Pack less clothes than you think you need. I found I spent a lot of time in swimsuits and was able to get a couple of wears out of shorts, etc. They also have washers & dryers on board if you have a clothes shortage/explosion/etc.

You'll have enough to haul with kids, having lighter luggage from clothes will be a weight off.

Imodium. Sick bags.

Pack more swimsuits than you think and less other stuff. Look up a schedule of your cruise to see how many formal dinners you have and also see if there are any theme nights or anything. That'll dictate what you should pack for dinner.

Or, pepto but surprisingly we had no issues on our recent cruise. Pack 2 as much as you need as its near impossible to do laundry on ship.

The youngest kids may not be allowed in the pools - 4 yr old should be, as long as potty trained. Which cruise line, OP?

We did a Royal Caribbean cruise a few months ago and were very impressed by how much storage space there was in our room (a regular balcony room w/two twin beds). A decent-sized closet and loads of drawers for clothes. We packed the same as we would for a regular hotel vacation.

More than one swimsuit for each person is helpful while others are drying.

Depending on the cruise line, you may have the opportunity to dress up for dinner (and they do photos, etc.) Think about that when you are packing. My family does like to change into fresh, semi-dressy clothes for dinner, so we pack sundresses and khakis/polo shirts for the dining rooms. Nice to throw in a shawl or sweater too because the theaters, dining rooms, etc. can be chilly -- even if you're in a tropical destination.

If you want to drink on the cruise, you get a certain allocation of wine and mixers/soda/etc you can bring. You technically can't bring alcohol, but I will tell you it is VERY easy to pack it in your luggage using Rum Runners or fake shampoo bottles.

To type of food you can bring is very restricted, so check the policy of your individual cruise line.
