Looking for doctor who takes blue cross blue shield HMO

Hi, I'm overseas for a couple of months and returning to the DC area in about 6 weeks. I'm in my 4th month right now and don't have a doctor in the states and am desperately trying to find one. I have bluecross blue shield HMO of maryland. If anyone knows of a good doctor who takes that insurance it would really help me a lot as I'm kind of overwhelmed about coming in a month and not knowing who to go to.

Also someone told me about a doctor at Washington Adventist. Does anyone have any feedback on how that hospital is for deliveries?

Reiter, Hill & Johnson takes this insurance. I am with them right now (Chevy Chase office), and it works for us as this is our second one, and we are not as anxious about the process. Our first one was born in London, and we had a wonderful experience there. I feel like this time we know what we want for sure and it doesn't scare me the sort of 'impersonality' of the practice, however if this is your first one, you should read the other posts on Reiter, Hill before going with them.

I've been a patient of the Capital Women's Care Group on Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring for years. They delivered both of my children and I think it is a great practice. My primary doctor there is Dr. Jessica Berger-Weiss, who is always rated highly in the annual Washingtonian survey and is just generally terrific. They deliver at Holy Cross Hospital. I know they take the BCBS HMO since that is what I had when I delivered my second last summer. Since I assume you'll also be looking for a pediatrician in the next few months, I'll also put in a plug (for about the 4th time this month!) for Discovery Pediatrics. They also take the BCBS HMO. They are on Georgia Ave in Silver Spring. There have been quite a few postings on this site in the last few weeks about Discovery Pediatrics so you can get other feedback on them by searching this site.

I have the same insurance and I am with Dr. Kreitmann in Silver Spring (www.laclinic.mymedfusion.com). He is originally from France and he is great. He is affiliated with Washington Adventist Hospital. His office is in Silver Spring and Bowie.
