Outstanding miscarriage panel but now possibly pregnant?

Anonymous
I had a miscarriage early this month. On Nov 7 my beta was 14 (we didn't do any more). I went to see Abassi to have some testing done (this was my second miscarriage). I just called today to inquire about results and they said a nurse would call me tomorrow. We tried to avoid getting pregnant this month, but since my period still hadn't come I took a test and there is a faint line. A few questions -- could this still be leftover hcg? Second, should I call Abassi and let her know? I'm not sure if there is anything that could be done if test results are bad given that I'm already pregnant.

How far along were you?

For example, I just had a CP--I know my beta will return to < 5 very soon. 4 years ago I had a missed M/C at 9w. My beta took a while to drop--it dropped about 50% every week.

sorry for you loss - how long after nov 7 did you start to bleed with the MC? For example I had a MC at 6 weeks but my levels were 4000 the day before I started bleeding. It took 7 weeks to get below 5.

If that was the 7th it should be 0 by now. You said you were avoiding but in my experience a miscarriage and really throw things off. Were you still charting or anything to know if you were in your window?

I was 6 weeks along when I started bleeding. On the 7th I had both a beta and an ultrasound to confirm I had passed everything (I had also stopped bleeding by then). We had sex two times this month one on CD 10 and one on CD 19. I dint factor in that ovulation could be screwy this month. Yesterday was CD 29 for me (if you count miscarriage bleeding as first day of period). I wanted to get all the testing back before I ended up in this position. I guess I'll hope everything is normal when I talk to someone today and either way let them know I got a potential positive test.

I can't get any of my results over the phone. The nurse said I need to come in tomorrow (I'm traveling today) and get a beta. Based on that the doctor will decide if I need to do anything. It seems ridiculous that they can't say everything in the panel looks normal or not.

One other question -- if something in the panel indicates an issue is it already too late for any treatment? It seems like a lot of treatment is done starting at ovulation.

Please keep us posted, may be in a similar situation...hopefully?

Op here. I am definitely pregnant. My levels at 13 dpi were 127. My antiphosphate levels from the miscarriage panel were boarderline. I'm going back Monday for another beta and for a retest of the antiphosphate levels. I'm starting on baby aspirin and progesterone suppositories.

Good luck OP!

Op, curious how your re reacted, I know they generally advise waiting for you to get af back. Did she say it was fine to go ahead and start the aspirin starting from where your were (post bop) , or any cons to not being on it earlier?

She was less concerned about getting my period and more worried about getting all my tests completed ( she wanted to do day 3 test and an hsg. Since the two APS tests were so boarderline I'm not sure she has come to a conclusion yet.
