Dress code - boy pants

Anonymous
Hi does anybody have the specification for boy pants? There are some really good sales now but I cannot find online what kind of "khaki" pants are acceptable at the schools that require uniform. Son is entering K. I know that some schools require no cargo pockets, but what else? Can they have elastic bands? Striped fleece lining? I don't want to ask the schools because that would be presumptuous.

Totally going to be school specific. See if there's a parent handbook on each school's website to provide guidance.

Most will go with Lands End khakis or Gap. NO CARGO PANTS. otherwise they're just the boring beige pants with two slit pockets in b ack with buttons, and front pockets. Lands End has great return policy - buy there and if it's not what you needed, you can always return it. I was in the same position as you OP, a few years ago!

Gap khakis. Gap just had 50 percent off everything over the weekend. DS is 13 and still wears Gap khakis. They have a stain shield so it's easy to get out grass stains, etc.

We use lands end, but I found that Costco khakis are indistinguishable and cheaper.

Our school never gave us trouble for using a pull up pants from classroom uniforms. My son still prefers them to button and zippers at 7.

As in entering K next fall? I wouldn't buy pants in November for next school year. You never know what size he'll be wearing then. And you can get Old Navy khakis for $10 a pair practically anytime.
