DH and I are debating on whether or not to bring our travel car seat to Cancun. DD will be on our laps for the flights (unless by some miracle there is an empty seat and they let us have it). The car service to get to the resort has a 99% guarantee that they will have a car seat available (company we're using is USA Transfers). Should we just leave the car seat at home? We are also taking two large suitcases, a backpack, purse, stroller...so will already have a ton of stuff to schlep. WWYD?
I'd leave it at home.
Always bring your own seat. The seat they have may not be appropriate for your child, been in an accident, etc. Far better to travel with your own. And, that's not tons of stuff.
Don't bring it. No need.
I would not bring it.
I wouldn't bring it. We had a private transfer from the Cancun airport and they had plenty of car seats. We booked Best Day through Expedia. All were Evenflo convertible variety and you had to do a seatbelt install. They would only provide car seats for 2 & under - so they were the correct style.
