37 weeks and spotting

| I am 37 weeks and noticed some light spotting tonight. I called the OB and he said could be nothing, could be the mucus plug. I know I'm being a nervous nelly, but has anyone had faint, bright pink spotting at this point? Did it mean you were in labor soon after? |

| Even if it is the mucous plug, it could still be several weeks before you give birth. Could also be from a cervical exam or from sex, if you've had either of those in the past few days. It's not a sign that labor is imminent, although it could be a few days -- but you're full term, so the baby will be fine. I'm at 41 weeks and have had a bit of this over the past week and still have not gone into labor (and am so ready!). |
