| We are moving in from out of state with a 3 year old, who has been attending a Montessori daycare for the last 2 years. We prefer to continue in the Montessori approach to education since our DC would miss the best part of Montessori curriculum if we take him to a non-Montessori school now. But that said, we are not totally averse to a non-Montessori school provided they meet our most important criteria- quality of teachers and quality of instruction our DC receives in school i.e. how engaging the classroom/pedagogy is and how happy are kids there. What schools would you recommend in the North Bethesda area? We are thinking about buying just inside the beltway. I commute to Shady Grove Adventist and spouse to a Medstar hospitals around Bethesda/Georgetown. Thank you for your suggestions. |
| Franklin |
Franklin is worthless. Lone oak is dark and damp. Bethesda has rich entitled kids getting fropped off in BMWs by moms in aviator glasses. WFCH is in the ghetto. Manor is not accredited. |
| bump- anyone? |

Our children attended Manor Montessori in Potomac and we had an excellent experience. The class was diverse and the teachers did an excellent job ensuring the children learned interesting topics. Both kids were extremely well prepared both socially and academically for preschool.
I have friends who sent their children to Franklin and they were also happy with the experience. |
Preschool=k |
| My reply went away. My child was happy at Lone Oak for 8 years. Also consider Butler school |
Thank you. We are touring loan oak, butler though is out of the way for us. Thank you for the suggestions. |

Lone Oak is a good school, but it doesn't present well. I didn't know Manor isn't accredited. Rock Creek Montessori is a good school, too, but it might be a bit far for you.

| I would call Manor. They've been around forever and are great. Call the owner in Potomac. My DS went there. |
