Infertility Support and Discussion

I'm not trying to sound crazy...I think I made a big mistake by taking 400 mg (2 tablets) of Motrin last night for my migraine instead of Tylenol. We ran out of Tylenol and I was in a lot of pain and could not sleep. I'm in the middle of my 2ww (5dp5dt) and I've read that ibuprofen can hurt implanation...seems I took it right when this little egg might be trying to implant!! Ugh! I never take anything other than what the Dr tells me to take but I was in so much pain when I made the decision to take something for my headache, I couldn't hold out.
Anyone make this mistake and still come out with a BFP? Did I really just ruin my chances for a successful cycle? I can't believe I'm ready to jump off a ledge over Motrin! This 2ww is the worst! |
| Call your RE's office and talk to your nurse if it will make you feel better. I recall my SIL (a pharmacist) saying that fetuses cannot absorb ibuprofen during the early fetal stage - almost like they're being protected against our late-night mistakes! (Of which I've had a few this pregnancy.) I don't know about implantation. You're right though that the 2ww is awful; my advice would be to force yourself not to google anything about it (easier said than done!) and just call/e-mail your nurse so you can try to relax about this. It's more important for you to feel relaxed than anything during this time. Best wishes to you. |
| Thank you SO MUCH for your response! You definitely made me feel so much better! |
