Week 8+4 pregnant, after a little on and off spotting for 2 weeks (light brown or pink) then had sudden red bleeding today, fairly heavy with some large but not huge clots. It filled a pad in an hour but then slowed down, now just light bleeding. Scared that it's the start of miscarriage but just have to wait and see.
We had a 8 week ultrasound scheduled at shady grove for this weds, and was wondering if it's preferable to see if my ob can get me in earlier instead. Would shady grove / reproductive endocrinologists be equipped to diagnose a sub chronic hematoma or look at the placenta in detail? This is assuming that the baby is even still there. Sigh so scary. Since my ob will be taking over anyway, wonder if we should try to go to her. Just worried we won't be able to get a last min appt/ultrasound. |
Shady Grove is definitely equipped to deal with this and help you. Call the after-hours line now. I think they are more likely to get you in than your OB. Wishing you the best.
Definitely shady grove if you haven't been released. They would definitely get you in tomorrow. I had a similar issue around 7.5 weeks. Hugs.
I had this at 6 weeks and went to my RE and went in that morning. I didnt have to wait for an appointment. I called them panicked at like 11 am that I was bleeding, and they had me get in a cab and come right in and the fellow who was available scanned me right then. It was a sub chorionic hematoma.
Def SG. Hope everything is ok!
OP, that's probably SCH and SG should be able to help you with that. I hope everything is OK.
Op here, unfortunately a miscarriage but advice to go to sg was good, thx!
So sorry, OP.

I'm sorry, OP. Hugs!
I am really sorry. This just happened to me too. Hang in there.
