Except Travis can handle media attention just fine and has the confidence not to let it get to him.

And there is the rub. For him it’s a challenge not to be defeated, he’s competitive.

He’s had media scrutiny since he was a teen. It’s not something dropped in his lap. He’s humble enough to work with the PR team and security team. He’s had coaches guiding his life since HS.

Being dyslexic also is an asset. People are always assuming you are dumb and he’s learned to navigate that too. It’s unbelievable how immune to consultations you must be when dyslexic.

Go watch their videos of Part Of The Band or Somebody Else, they are identical to Fortnight. And by the way, she and Matty Healy have been hooking up for at least a decade and have tons of nods to each other in their songs over the years. He is all over her albums starting with Reputation. I know you won’t believe me, but Harry, Joe and Travis are irrelevant. It’s always been Matty who gets her going. He is such a terrible person and she is so moved on that 2 months ago she filmed a video with a million references to him and his band in which video she types repeatedly, “I love you. It’s ruining my life.”

Agreed she was over Joe, disagree that her and MH were physical until they were both free of other relationships. It sounds like they dated in 2014, had to call it due to TS publicity and his drugs, but were very into each other. Both had other big relationships. Both carried little torches. In 2020, she was bored, doing FL/EM and jack reconnected them - they share a friend group - and I’m sure everyone was saying they were meant to be. MH dropped her name constantly in interviews from 2019/2023. She felt flattered, he worked with her on music. She started wondering if it could be different - question?, the 1, Betty, etc. her and Joe reached the end, all of midnights is a break up album, and then boom. We are here. Likely he was a muse in her earlier work, like the hot lead singer that got away, but became a real love interest in 2020, then they got physical in 2023. If you listen to LOML first verse, it sounds like it is about MH finally putting a stop to her and Joe drifting in and out - who is going to stop us from waltzing, lover is a waltz, MH stopped them. I mostly agree with this take. Just will add that she makes it pretty clear that matty left her though. If he hadn’t, I think she would have eventually come to her senses.
