| My only living brother is 20 years my junior. He is a minister for a very strict church (we were raised in that religion), and he doesn't speak to me because I defected almost 22 years ago, and must therefore be shunned for all eternity. My other brother.... he's my Ghost Rider. Always with me until I take my last breath. |
| We have a lot of continuing family group texts, but 1:1 maybe 3x per month give or take. |
Same here. We text at least once a week, more if there's some pressing issue. |
|
text once a month, sometimes once a week. Talk maybe 3-4 times a year. I like him enough.
Having a sister is great. |
| Wow- I’m so different. We are two years apart, in our 50s, and we text 10+ times a day. Most of the time it’s news articles, but often about work or something funny. |
| Two older brothers, all in our 50s. Text both 2-3x/week but talk with 1 every week but the other on bdays and holidays. |
| My younger bro and I now live in the same town. We text and chat daily and probably see each other 2x a week. Before that he lived abroad and we only spoke once every couple weeks and texted a couple of times a week. |
| I have two brothers and we talk maybe 2-3x a year? Only when we see each other in person and occasionally a birthday phone call. I text with one sister in law so connect with that brother that way. I love them but we have nothing in common. |
| Text? Every day, multiple times a day, mostly jokes and memes. Actually talk on the phone? Usually only when somethings gone terribly wrong. |

I have two. The one who is close to my age, we text every day. Visit each other often even though we live on opposite coasts. Vacation together with our families.
The younger I speak/text maybe once or twice a year. He was a rabid Trump supporter and an ass to me so we aren’t close. |

We are not phone people. We text a couple times a week and he reads a story to my kid or DMs DND (also for my kid's benefit) via Zoom about once a week, so we end up talking then, too. In non-COVID times, if we are living close enough, we will see each other a couple times a month. We got closer to that again over the summer, but my unvaccinated kid is in school now and we are all quite cautious, so that's on pause for maybe a couple more months. He currently lives in NoVa and I live in MoCo, so that applies-- but he's moved around a bit. We see each other for longer periods during family holidays-- our parents retired a couple states away.
I don't know if I would consider us "close," but I think that's just me framing closeness in a way I'd expect siblings who grew up together would be close. Say, 1-4 years apart. He is 10 years younger than I am, so we are close but like... close cousins? Close aunt and nephew? With a different dynamic since we have the same parents, but just not QUITE peers. Especially since my husband is 18 years older than he is, and I've been married since he was a kid. I guess we are reasonably close-- but like different generations. |

Never
And with one, only when I call. |
