What’s the best thing you’ve purchased under $200?

I have some lame <$200 purchases:

Elta md spf 41 - it’s lightly tinted and I’ve been using it for years and it doesn’t make me break out!

A baffle box weave down comforter - I’m not sure which one exactly, but like this: https://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Comforters-Duvet-Inserts/29937/cat.html?featuredproduct=13152909&featuredoption=21796922&ci_sku=19879455-000-001&cnc=US I love how it stays fluffy

Linen sheets - you can get them for under $200 on sale. Sadly DH does not love them as much as I do. https://www.serenaandlily.com/variationproduct?pid=m13526&dwvar_m13526_color=NavyChambray&dwvar_m13526_size=Full&pdp=true&source=detail&utm_source=adlucent&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=adlucent#fo_c=745&fo_k=58b86af7ffb64af6a7b9c5de9294bf8e&fo_s=adlucent

My stand up desk kind of like this one - https://www.wayfair.com/Inbox-Zero--Ireton-Foldable-Height-Adjustable-Standing-Desk-X112247891-L186-K~W001136780.html?refid=FR49-W001136780_1679348482&PiID%5B%5D=1679348482

And as I look around this room, my eyes fall on an Ottoman from World Market circa 2006 that has really stood the test of time. My cat scratches the hell out of that thing and it still looks great. And in 2006, I bought my absolute favorite pair of earrings for $10 from a crazy man at a consignment shop. That was a good year.

It looks like it’s now discontinued but I love my Polar Nights cooling pillow. It’s stopped my nighttime head sweats.

The kids and I have used it almost every day this summer for a fast, fat-free treat. It makes us feel like we're at the beach.

Which one did you get?

I have naturally colored hair the color of ebony.

As an Asian woman of fifty-two, I have now close to 70-80% gray hair.

Ten days after coloring my hair, those nasty silver roots give away my age.
Salon coloring was too co$tly and I hated all the mess + time involved in coloring my entire gray roots.

This past weekend I discovered “Nice and Easy” Root Touch-Up.
No mess, ten minutes and my roots are history.

And I can color every 10-15 days. 👍🏽

30 dollar Amazon electric gooseneck kettle.
Quickly boils water for cup noodles, instant soup, oatmeal, tea, and of course pour-over coffee.
Gooseneck spout keeps things safe and precise.
I seriously don’t know how anyone lives without one of these.

In Japan, the need to have hot water on hand for tea and such is so universal that people get these plastic electric carafe thingies that dispense by pushing down on the lid. I had one while there, but the electric gooseneck kettle is wayyyyy better and takes up less space.

Mine is cheap but has lasted several years anyway with daily use. When it finally goes I will upgrade to a Stagg.

A Sunny Health and Fitness Stair Stepper. I got it from Amazon for $98 last year. I've lost 8 pounds using it, it's solidly built, requires very little space, and it provides an insanely intense workout.

Wow, good job! I’m longing for a treadmill but don’t have space for it.

This is my greatest fear: being trapped in sheets. I would have a major panic attack if I had to sleep in that.

Same. NO way I could sleep in that.
