You can buy water bottles online through costco in a multi-pack or in store.

I would probably buy each of the kids new coats, especially a tween as each one deserves new things sometimes and not just the oldest. I buy new as its cheaper. But, covid is airborne not surface.

Talk to her, not us.

Thank you. But you wouldn’t buy a coat you can’t wash well from Thrift too right? Like I know it’s airborne. But have also seen how kids use coats. Eating ice cream and sometimes they drop
On the collars perhaps, or Mucus on collars when zipped up
To a runny nose, or perspiration or just leaving coats on the floor at school etc.

I very rarely buy used things and its never clothing for that kind of stuff. My kids don't destroy their clothing and take care of their things. We wash them regularly.

Down can be washed in the washing machine, google it. We have down comforters and sleeping bags that are washed when needed. You need to get special light weight balls for the dryer to help with the down redistribution but it is not a big deal.

And be thankful your wife is saving money and natural resources. It’s much easier to just order off of Amazon

Or just ask your kid if she wants a new lid? Maybe your wife is more tuned into your kids, and depending on age they just want to fit in / but 3x hydro flasks is expensive (and I won’t buy one for my kid bc he’ll either bang it up or lose it). This way they fit in but don’t break the bank. It sounds like your kids are older, so it isn’t necessarily you v your wife - though it also sounds like maybe your kids are entitled or spoiled as your wife is trying to ground them a bit?
