East Coast Premier Cup?

Any idea why the site doesn’t show any accepted u12 teams? Our club has been unclear whether we are actually in it

I bet this tournament completely flops next year due to the poor communication of the managing company. Mark my words.

Pipe down rookie…not all teams are playing for medals. Some are focused on playing 1 game a day so they show their best and prepare for the season.

Thank you! High quality teams on boys side. Girls side is meh...speaking of, Loudoun has every girls team playing up an age group. This means Loudoun 09 girls will be playing 08 VDA, 08 Arlington and 07 Loudoun will be playing 06 VDA girls, 06 Baltimore Armour, 06 Arlington. Wonder if that is a mistake? If not, good luck picking your girls up off the ground after that, yikes.

Has to be a mistake, That will not be the start of the season Loudoun 07 team needs.

Hope VDA 06 does not get embarrassed. Put up or shut up.

VDA 06 would never play a year lower LOL... They are playing Arlington and Baltimore. Just the two games, likely because of constrained playing fields.

Some parents don't realize as the kids get older, it moves away from tournaments and into full showcases. Good example is U15 and younger at Jeff Cup are all tournies, where U16 and up are just 3 games in a showcase format. No final game, no medals, and don't even break out brackets for the 15 or so teams competing in the age group. That plastic is important at younger ages; but most in h.s. would rather hear how a college scout/coach received their brochure and watched them play, even if to give a little hope.

You know what a rookie move is? Paying some management company from Texas $700 to play scrimmages on a neutral field. ROFL.

+1 but if you got a medal, it makes it all worth it?

If it is solid gold then yes. If it is plastic with a sticker on it, no.

Seriously though, early teens, tweens and younger enjoy winning a tournament no matter if it is Jeff Cup or August Cup. IMO it is U15 when those elite ECNL/GA players and teams could care less about the small tournaments.

But yeah, paying $845 to play two Friendlies is pretty stupid. VDA is essentially doing the same format Labor Day weekend for $250 a team.

You can argue the ROI of doing 2 or 4 games for a tournament , but that is not a showcase. Showcase is ensuring you compete at the highest level for a game, not the tired team that played 4 hours ago. While you all complain it looks like the top teams are all on board with this.

If you want to see some quality soccer go watch the U-17's. Keep your eye on FC Delco. They have the top scorer in the MLS Next on that team.

Some teams payed $750.00 to play in two scrimmages. WOW

They advertised that the winners would get free entry into the Easter International Cup. How does that work when the top bracket is scrimmage format and the bottom bracket is tournament style? Not that I wanted to go anyways, but I am curious.

Oh they will all be invited to pay another $750 to go to the other tournament. This in nothing but a money grab.

Some teams are playing teams they face in the regular season. I am going to start the DMV Super Duper Tournament for next year and only charge four easy installments of 150.00
