3950/month. It's higher than I would prefer, but we had student loans to pay off for many years.

250k hhi, PITI of 5k/mo and two kids in daycare

We live good, comfortable lives. No idea what you people are blowing all that extra money on!

Our base hhi is 305k (we get some extra equity and bonuses that I don’t see in our monthly budget) and we just bought a home with a PITI of 4300. We have 2 in daycare full time but the oldest will go to public school in one year. We have 4 years left of daycare for the youngest. It feels comfortable even w 2 in daycare. We had budgeted for a max 5k PITI when we were house shopping w 4K being ideal.

2500 PITI (30 y loan at 2.5%), our HHI is now slightly above 250k (280K). We almost pulled trigger to buy a bigger home last summer as we had an extra 150K saved. Would have gone from 650K house to 1M$ house.

But we didnt find the right one and ended up buying an investment property instead.

I think we will stick with that for now, pay it faster so that by time we are 60, both our primary home and investment property will be paid off.

If it's crumbling I'd get out before the special assessments arrive.

250k HHI and PITI is $1930. Bought a townhome when I made 150k and didn’t realize my income would increase so fast and am now wishing I had gone for a SFH.

$2k but we bought when we were making closer to 150k combined. Our house is nothing spectacular but it’s nice to not have a crazy mortgage with two kids in daycare.

Ahhhh DCUM.....where people routinely talk about owning $2-3M+ homes, yet all seem to have PITIs <$3500 or less. Either people are full of crap, or everyone seems t have $1M+ for down payments.

This thread is for people making in the 250k HHI range. You aren’t going to see someone owning a 2-3M home on this income.

$2000.00 15 year fixed. We are ~45. Bought on one salary.

HHI $235k, PITI $3900
refinanced last year from 30 to 20yr, 2.6% and kept same payment.

Child just started public school

Max out both 401k's, 2 Roth's, and $5k/year for 529 fund

net worth $600k investments + $600k equity in home = $1.2 million

spouse and myself both 39 years old.
