I don't know why people do think leagues or tournaments will actually stay at the $130/night Best Westerns. Book wherever you'd like. If they don't like it, send a cop. |
Most ECNL clubs have the team traveling together, there is no choice of the hotel for parents other than the one they wish to stay. |
| I still don't know who is paying $500 for a weekend trip. MA parent here and former NE parent who never paid for than $350 for a weekend trip. |
Not PP, but our number was closer to $500. That is for one player, two night hotel stay (2/room), +player portion of bus fee (typ 14-16 hrs in the bus for an NC or SC trip), +player portion of room cost for chaperones and coaches. These weekends are for two games at different sites. Just depends on what is included and what comes from team fees. |

$100/night cheapest room + Tax + locality fee = $225
1x tank of gas = $40 2x dinners for min two people = $80 2x lunches and/or snacks = $30 $375 and that is cheap af. I mean down right dirty cheap, if you're lucky. $500 is totally within normalcy. Stop acting like this is a big deal. Add just a sibling, parent, or another hundred mile drive and $375 is easily $500. FFS Whoever thinks they aren't spending $500 is a rec league dad or U9er |
