The point of the “Jefferson Bible” was to write down all of the words spoken by Jesus. So that he could read them all together. |
OP seems to think that if you repeat something often enough, it becomes true. sort of like "Jesus is Lord" |
Again the point is missed, it was about the pedantry of the post. |
The opinion that the post was pedantic could have been said up front, instead of saying that Jefferson wrote his own Bible, which is not accurate. Seems more like an unnecessary cover for something so obvious just by reading the thread and knowing the facts about the Jefferson Bible, which are easily attainable. |
What is made up in the article? What is untrue? |
You know the old saying "If you gotta ask, you'll never know". It attempts to make a correlation where there is none. Atheists come in all political persuasions, as do believers. To claim otherwise is to be a liar or an idiot. |
Or possibly a zealot |

We may as well be arguing about the weather.
People indoctrinated by organized religion had this done to them as children when their synapses were most open to fairytales. It’s sad. Imagine having these imaginary stories hardwired into your brain at such an impressionable age. So, the answer to this thread is to simply concede, stop arguing and let evolution take hold. All the pew studies show that religion is on the decline in western society. Yes, they’re won “the battle” for now. By this I mean they’ve skewed the Supreme Court to better enshrine religious protections for a while longer, but the writing is on the wall. Y’all are demographically fked. Young people don’t need the Bible. So we can only let time do its thing. Enjoy. Yes, you are right. Totally. New atheists and all that and blah blah. Yep. We are all listening. You totally win this argument super religious people. Everything you say is logical. You win! |
The zealot will probably think you're serious. |
