No, this is PRICELESS advice. Only adds - leave as early as possible to avoid those Conn nuts (note also that the MP is pretty involved driving.) Also, 95 is not the only route through NYC once you take GW. You can get off and take a number of other routes to get N and E. BE FLEXIBLE.

That is really only a Friday issue. I go on and off the Cape all summer and really don't run into issues with the bridges onto the Cape other Fridays and occasional Saturday mornings. My DC comes down from Boston most weekends and just comes late on Friday.

Do you use Google Maps instead of Waze? My DH and I have a running argument about this because it seems to me that Waze never suggests the Tappan Zee even when Google Maps shows it to be significantly faster.
