Does the extra attention when driving a new luxury car or SUV get annoying?

agreed unless it’s a really clean s model. Otherwise they look like plastic toys.

the original roadsters are awesome and beautiful (thanks to them not being teslas)

Teslas get the least attention because of how ubiquitous they are (at least where I live).

But I am not going to judge those who do, their money.

I drive a humble new q7 and it serves its purpose.

Humble-brags that his Q7 is humble.

Exactly. Thank Lotus for that.

Only Tesla could start with a Lotus Elise and give us a follow-on model that looks like it was designed by Kia

What did stand out to me the other day in McLean was the bright orange Lamborghini SUV. Have never seen one so I looked it up online out of curiosity... STARTING price was $218K. Now THAT is a luxury care that I noticed.

I saw a Lamborghini SUV today and was not impressed. It looks way too normal and blends in for that price tag. Something about it just doesn't seem impressive. Now the new Bentley SUV, that has real presence and you can tell it's expensive.

But I'd feel like an obnoxious person driving that Bentley SUV around.

I don’t think I’ve ever recurved a single comment on my Lexus, other than from a colleague who has the exact same car. In this region, at least- it’s about as unremarkable of a car as it gets.

Now, my Volvo 240 on the other hand... people love to talk to me about that car!

I know Range Rovers, Porsche SUVs, Tesla Model Xs, big Mercedes and BMW SUVs, and brash Cadillac Escalades are ubiquitous in higher net worth metros, but they still stand out and garner additional eyeballs over boring vehicles like a Chevy Tahoe, VW Atlas or Subaru Forester/Outback which tend to blend in. I think I enjoy blending in while driving a random average new SUV (Jeep Grand Cherokee), however, that's the only sort of car I've ever driven, so I have no idea what it's like driving something showy.

This is a weird , strange post. Why would anyone spend $$ just for compliments? Kids in jr
high are neither able to drive or purchase vehicles.....

Ok but an M5 is a cool car. I get why he gets comments on it. It’s fast.
