Yet fcv still a better club than loudoun with no boys’ side and no owned fields. Keep being a h03 |
Lol. You pay for your kid to watch play a game. Who’s the ho3? Lol |
Other poster > you, since you can’t produce a coherent sentence. |
| So what’s the consensus on clubs that fared well this weekend? Clubs that didnt? |
GA Rising |
U11 top bracket. Bethesda beats pipeline U12 top bracket Michigan beats pipeline U12 second bracket. Bethesda beats Arlington U13 top bracket. Richmond beats Michigan U13 third bracket. Bethesda beats loudon (beats pipeline in semis) U14 top bracket. Loudon beats fcv |
WOW! That last one was a big one. But it was expected. |
FCV v. Loudoun results - the future of Loudoun county soccer ... which is so hotly debated in this forum. U14. Loudoun beats FCV in final 1-0. U13. FCV doesn’t get out of group round (2nd bracket) Loudoun finishes as runner up in 3rd bracket. They’ve played common opponent Maryland United and lost by similar scores in the last year. Looks like a toss up. U12. Loudoun finished 2-1 in top bracket losing 1-0 to Pipeline (runner up) in group stage. FCV has team in 6th bracket. Group stage elimination. U11. Loudoun finished last in top bracket group. FCV in bottom bracket. Group stage elimination. So at youngest ages Loudoun is doing better as far as bracket placement, with 07s and 08s being neck and neck. If FCV recruits Loudoun’s players as usual, then as teams age up FCV will take the mantle, but given no DA, not sure that will happen anymore. If Loudoun’s ECNL patch lures some of top FCV players over to Loudoun ... then Loudoun will pull ahead. Or, if BRYC and TSJ do some deal and TSJ stops paying for Evergreen field space, the best Loudoun based FCV players will move to Loudoun. We shall see. If they had stayed joined at the top level they’d have some great (best in country) teams, with better combined coaching and would likely be ECNL now with no TSJ involved. But good rivalry which is fun. |
It’s hard to tell. The field seemed fairly weak- most of the teams were from states neighboring Va. Many of the normal strong club from farther away did not come. The pattern for the top brackets was there was only one team that gave a good game and the other two games were easy. |
What bracket was your daughters team in? |
This year was always going to be slightly strange bc some teams played so few games and tournaments in the fall due to covid that their placement maybe off Just looking through the different brackets there were more lopsided games as well a lopsided brackets than usual. . And agree some of the tougher teams from further states were not there. It is what it is. Just glad the kids got to play and And bonus of nice weather. |
