It's time for DC to shut down indoor dining again

Yes. They're only enforcing safety measures -- no parking in front of a hydrant, etc. But everything else is fair game -- skip feeding the meter, park in whatever RPP zone you want, have expired tags, park in the middle of Constitution Ave during rush hour, etc. Enjoy. Can't wait until my block is available for residents again instead of MD and VA commuters.

Why, exactly, isn't the city enforcing parking restrictions? I would love to hear the BS reasoning behind this.

It's all a disorganized mess where it's clear the city is happy to let private business go on as usual but provide as few public services as possible.

So you mean it's basically status quo under a Muriel Bowser reign of terror except for drivers not having to follow parking laws.

After delaying the inevitable far past what can possibly be considered safe, Bowser finally will shut down DC indoor dining Dec. 23, perhaps allowing it again in January:

This is great news! Look at how successful California has been with their shutdowns, banning indoor dining, etc..

The numbers are plummeting, oh wait....

I want to follow parking laws...but I would need a license plate to do that. Why can't I get a license plate online?

In the article one restaurant owner calls residents selfish and blames them for having to shutdown restaurants. But isn’t indoor dining a major driver of the pandemic?

No, it's family gatherings at home

Didn't feel the need to start a new thread, but I am genuinely confused about why indoor dining is okay now?

Aren't cases up? Isn't there a new, more contagious strain around? I am genuinely confused. Have I missed something?

Yes, you seem confused and scared. You should probably just stay home.

Like, forever.
