Some have gained weight and are out of shape and slow. It's obvious no training was done in the off-time, some players have lost their touch completely.

Even with Covid, my kids trained all summer. The Club should move players where they 'are' for the current season. You should always have to 'earn' your spot. It should always be merit-based.

It does not take long to get back in form specially at these age groups. There were are ton of kids with bad touch on top teams before the pandemic and there will be a lot moving forward. You do not need to be Messi or Rose Lavelle to make a top travel team.

Coaches in our club shuffled teams during the summer. They shouldn't have to do it again in the fall IMO. It's very disruptive, especially in the world we are in now. I also don't like it as an infection risk. You committed to a certain bubble. When that bubble is constantly being shuffled around or made larger it's not a good for anyone right now.

Our club did the opposite. They kept players on their team and said they would reshuffle during winter. A new player is a tossup. Should at the least wait until winter to reshuffle. I think its fine covid wise if they pick one time and do it, not constant change.
