I ran out of sleep meds one night last week, and I decided to see what I could accomplish on my own. The answer was nothing. I was able to get to sleep just fine, which was never the problem to begin. However, by midnight I was up again and unable to fall back to sleep until 4.
I promptly purchased sleep meds the next day, and will make it my business to not run out again. |
The pandemic exacerbated the condition. The pandemic is also what prompted me to get a clue and start treating it with OTCs. |
For anyone that finds melatonin too strong, try buying glycine in bulk and mixing that with a glass of water before bed. Only side affect I've had is relatively vivid dreams but I always get a high quality of sleep |
Yes.
Trazadone + Seroquel. And sometimes Ativan as well. But I suffer from depression + anxiety too. |
50 mg of serequel every night!!! I still wake up between 1 and 4 every night and have a hard time getting back to sleep. Sometimes like last night I just get up and do work. It sucks. Used to take restoril but the doctors won't give it to me anymore. |
Celexa 5mg helps with sleep and major anxiety. I may increase the dose, but it does what I want it to right now. I sleep okay and I don't ruminate non-stop and panic.
Celexa is nice- slower acting. If I miss a dose, it's not a big deal for me, and I feel like I could wean off if I wanted to (which I absolutely don't). Some of these OTC meds are unsafe if used regularly- linked to memory issues. Don't take them more than once in a great while. If it's anxiety causing sleep issues, I honestly believe you're better to go with an anti-anxiety med. |
Edibles - between 10 and 20 grams of THC. I think I’m psychologically dependent on them now but I like the warm fuzzy feeling right before I fall asleep. |
