I think a high school diploma is worthless and that you have to get some tertiary education, no matter what the cost

Everyone should pay something in federal taxes. The yearly minimum could be as low as $10 or $15. People don't value that which is given for free, and that applies to federal services as well.

I think you mean it’s worthless on its own. Because as much as people like to knock high school graduations and diplomas, you can’t get a college degree or a grad degree without a high school diploma or equivalent.

3. People taking out those 6-figure loans should pay them off as soon as humanly possible and not let them stretch out for 20-30 years.

Other than no. 3 I don't think these are UO.

IDK a lot of people say “THOSE peoples’ kids shouldn’t go to college... but but not my kid!!!”

Disagree, when I was in college I had a great credit score and minimal income or assets. I only used the card for my needs (groceries and gas) and paid it off each month.

I think you agree, not disagree with PP.
Credit score and “wealth” aren’t connected.
My college age son has a decent credit score (750+) but only makes about $3k/year. He’s definitely not wealthy.

I'm not sure about that. The thread is unpopular opinions so I assumed the initial PP was stating an unpopular opinion they hold that credit score indicates wealth and I'm saying I disagree with that. I agree with you though.

You should be able to buy a second home in cash? Come on! You must be incredibly wealthy and out of touch to think that.

We bought our second home for cash. And our third.

You can donate your own money to those causes. Or move to Europe.

My opinion is that this is not an equal society.
A lot of elite are oposed to the poor and disadvantaged attending college.

Class struggle. They hate the idea of somebody's disadvantaged kid taking their child's spot.
And do not want their kid attending college classes with a child of a window washer, factory worker, third generation welfare family or dirt poor illegal immigrant

Lots of people have foregone the opportunity to learn Spanish because they view it as low class.

Ahh. And let me guess where you fall on the socio-economic spectrum? Im betting somewhere along the lines that you could easily afford to invest in these things, find every tax loophole you can to avoid it, and think that the larger society in which you live isn't your responsibility to help maintain? Oh, and probably that you are smarter and more deserving of your wealth just be virtue of the fact that you have it?

I hate it when people say if you don't like it then why don't you leave to immigrants or foreigners or even kids

This is done to squash their opinion or view. You should never say that to anyone. You know you are being a jerk

Clearly wrong thinking.

+1 I’ve noticed that when the rich white kid washes out of engineering, it’s because it “wasn’t a good fit” or they “decided to pursue other interests.” When the URM kid washes out of engineering, it’s apparently because the URM kid was delusional about his or her chances and should have never been admitted in the first place!

Most people who are very rich obtained their wealth through unethical means (slimey lawyer, greedy business person who screwed people out of their money, thief, cheating people etc.) Therefore, the extreme wealth is a mark of poor character.
