Yes, if it's a place they are used to, like a camp offered by your kid's preschool, or a camp that they return to each summer (along with their friends).

Live-in nanny for the summer

Teacher

Daycare worker

School aide

Coach/supervisor for afterschool activities

Before/Aftercare worker

Any of the above would be better than a random college kid.

Zillion percent unemployment might cut down on the availability of resume building summer jobs (unless they work for free).

There will probably be many laid-off daycare or pre-school workers who are looking for work. Or other adults out of work. I'd rather hire them than a college kid.

This. If our daycare stays closed, I'll bring in one of their daycare teachers for 5 hours / day.
