The US economy has been switching away from production to service. That's not the fault of any particular president except for general policies that "allowed" foreign industries to out-compete us and failed to encourage the industrial base to switch to profitable goods. The US can't compete with cheap overseas labor except when it comes to certain products that require highly skilled labor. |
| You have already surrendered many rights to live in an orderly society. However, society has failed you. Simple property crimes are ignored because they should be covered by insurance. Recovering the items isn't worth the cost to recover them. The government has become mercenary is only pursuing the crimes that provide some benefit to politications or the "general fund." |
It’s clear you don’t know much. |
Presidents alone don’t save or destroy the country’s economy. |
Racist says what? |
|
None. DC has too many restrictions already. Any second amendment supporters here?
Well, it’d be nice if they were a little stricter with parking violations. Parked cars Blocking lanes during rush hour is infuriating. |
|
None. Neither should you either be so willingly blind OP.
OP, it sounds like its time for you to move to the close suburbs and still keep your liberties. |
I bet OP is a SJW who keeps voting for the far left socialists in DC and then wonders why nothing is working.
|
|
But then why does DC turn around 250 years later and erect, with public funds no less, a statute of a modem-day racist and misogynist, Marion Barry?! That’s f’cked up. |
Republican presidents have pushed for less regulations and to allow industries to "police themselves." Yes, this caused problems for banking and real estate, which is what pushed us to the very brink of disaster. |
asshole. signed, not OP |
Hey! You can't say stuff like that! Marion Barry was a black man, and you must know that blacks can't be racist! Just ask the Reverend Mr. Sharpton! And calling Marion Barry a misogynist is racist, too. You should be reported! |
Nailed it, pp! |
You don't think much, do you? |
