Bedbugs don’t just stay in beds, you know. If a house has bedbugs you can get them in a variety of places. Better stay home.

So unnecessary. Leave your coat in your car if you’re going to be precious about it.

Dh only wears his suit cost once a year. Likewise I only use my formal coats a Few times a year. In the spring I rotate to trench coats and rain coats.

No. Coat closets are by the door. I put on my shoes and my coat as I leave the house, and remove them when I enter. If I had to traipse to the bedroom every time I would find that pretty annoying.

If you have a SFH and you entertain a lot, get a rolling folding rack. They’re great for closet clean outs or big packing too.

When we host people and I know they'll be wearing coats, I make sure there are spare ones in the front closet and I move items that don't need to be in there elsewhere to make room.

Our spare bedroom isn't on the first floor of the house so I would find it very odd for people to go up the stairs to lay their coats down. I also wouldn't want to look at coats laid on a couch, that would annoy me. We have a coat closet so we use it, so I'm team husband except I think he's being a bit dramatic about it.

Rent or buy a coat rack and hangers. Let them hang their own precious and lice ridden coats.
