Honestly- why do you want to play for MadLax?

I'm well aware of the owner and his past episodes but our interaction with the program thus far have all been positive. In case you are wondering, this is the start of our 3rd season with Mad Lax.

This is the DMV, here's how to really wake them up: "You, sir, are worse than Trump!"

good for you and your son and hope the experience remains for your son and his friends. Good families and kids that I’ve seen aside from ML’s opportunistic business practices and selective coaching.

I could care less if the Madlax owner sent a few strange emails to a parent, have too many kids on the team, charge too much money to B team players, but giving legitimacy to US Club Lacrosse rankings with their newest tournament is a low move.

Very few boys clubs have produced the players as Madlax. If you hate it, your kid probably couldn’t hack it

With your attitude, you're definitely in the right program. This thread has it all wrong. The DMV needs a place for people with your win at all costs, no concern for the rules attitude, because decent people wouldn't want to associate with you.

Ouch, that hurts. It's like your convertible just smoked me on the beltway on your way to the club.

I'll be happy to come over and polish your awesome kid's MadLax trophies sometime to make it up to you. Or just have your eighth grader drive over and drop them off for me.

It’s always easy to tell which dads never played sports. You gotta have thick skin and natural ability. Your genes unfortunately prevented him from playing Madlax

I thought one of the few things that posters on this thread agree on is that no one is actually prevented from playing Madlax? You pay, you play. Or at least you pay, you roster.

Madlax top teams are far and above any of the other little reject clubs that most play for. Bitter dads that their little Ira couldn’t make top Madlax

I'm almost certain these comments aren't from a Madlax parents, but rather from someone trying to stir the pot.

He is very supportive of all the players. He cares about them and works to make each of them better. He preaches good sportsmanship, which resonates with the players and their families. My son has responded well to his coaching style, likes his teammates, and continues to have fun. We’ve had minimal contact with Cabell (other than sending him money). I’ve heard stories but as long as our coach remains with the team, my son will remain with the team.

This is the reason, OP. When the coach you work with is not only good, but honest, it's really hard to leave, even if you here that some other people cheat.

A good coach and role model for the kids is really what club lacrosse can and should be about. With that, how does anyone play for Black Wolf?
