Why can’t clubs charge more for their top teams since they are getting the lions share of the resources? I understand subsidizing needs to happen to a certain extent but if you’re running a top program I feel families would be willing to pay the premium across the board. Better product, people will pay more. And if the non-top teams are a better product, I think families would pay more for that as well.
Getting a decent coach shouldn’t be a crap shoot in Travel. |
This is the way it should be. I would be mad as hell to be paying the same amount if my kid were on the third team and not even having the head coach engaged in training or coming to the games. Or rather I wouldn't pay it at all. I say that as a parent with a child on the top team. |
+1 The difference in what you get is shocking. In the younger years the top team might get three practices a week, a much more expensive league and a really experienced coach while the lower teams will get two practices a week, a cheaper league and a new coach. All for the same crazy price. |
| Stoddert charges the top team more. |
Because they don't want their top talent to leave for other clubs. |
If the coach is good they would pay. We would pay probably $500- 1000 more for our DC's original coach. He was that good. |
Several clubs charge the top team more. In ours it’s to cover an extra day of practice that is required for A team and not B team. The top team also has more team fees due to more tournaments. |
Even a worse reply. The family is receiving services for FREE and still can’t bother themselves to show up on time. I play with a guy in an adult league who uses google translate. He gets to the games on time for warmups. He uses translate to understand when to be there and respects others. I do not have “compassion” for those that do not respect others and do not honor their commitments. Compassion is for those that are truly suffering, not for those using their differences as an excuse. |
