I agree. It’ll be unlike any royal baby we’ve seen in a long time. I’m sure she will be adorable! |
I'm not sure about that. I'm biracial (black and "brown"), and happen to know a few friends and neighbors with kids who are 1/4 black. The ones that are 3/4 white are pretty pale, by black standards. The ones that have brown coloring are not 3/4 white, but have something else in the mix. Not that any of this matters--I wish her a healthy end to her pregnancy and hope they have a healthy baby. |

The hair texture is what I’m interested in. Skin color, probably a smooth olive with eventual freckles!
But the hair... ooh the hair .. we shall see! I hope it’s AA! |
PP here. With multiracial kids, it's a total wild card. I'm thinking of one family I know with two young kids who are the same mix as this royal baby (1/4 black, 3/4 white). One kid has kinky curly hair and obvious black ancestry. The other kid has very loose waves. Hair also changes over time, often starting out straighter in multiracial kids, and the curl gets tighter over time. It may be hard to tell for the first couple of years. |
I don’t think we’ll ‘see’ anything. Remember when Blue Ivy was born and Beyonce permed her hair? Blue’s parents are both undisputedly black and I still wonder how she did it. |
What?! Are you suggesting Beyonce chemically straightened a newborn child's hair? |
|
No but really, are there any “real” sources and stories about MM? Or are they all tabloid?
..I’m new here but really excited for these babies. #teamtwins |
No, it was probably gel - but that is not Blue Ivy’s natural hair look or texture. A baby hairstylist or Bey’s did something. |

Um, no. It's abundantly clear you haven't been around black newborns before. Many are born with straightish hair, including my daughter. For black babies, the curls tighten later. |
PSA: AA newborns are often born with silky straight hair that later falls out and is replaced by hair with more texture. You can find hundreds of thousand if not millions of photos online of AA newborns to show how widespread this is. It isn’t limited to mixed race babies either. |
I had no idea - I'll be honest. That is fascinating. |
| Team girl. I can't wait to see Harry holding his little girls hand |
You...really know nothing about black people, do you? |
I want her to have two babies. A boy and a girl. So happy for them. |
