My former parish has lost more members than it’s gained. Not too long ago, parking on Sunday’s was a huge problem. Not anymore. Lifelong members have abandoned the church.

Well I agree with you there. The people who have faith or try to have a relationship with God, not the people that corrupt the Church.

I remember visiting a friend at Brown U. many years ago, and her Hindu roommate asked to visit the campus Catholic mass with me. She had attended mass only once before, at St. Peter's in Rome on travels. I was thrilled to take her and had absolutely no expectations. I was just so happy that she wanted to visit.
