You do realize that the Church allows cremation so long as the cremains are buried rather than scattered. This was a huge economic relief to the poor as cremation is much cheaper. No one is more devout than my mom, but she plans to be cremated and donate the difference to the Oblate Sisters of Providence. |
Why is the country top secret? I feel like you’re afraid that if you name it other posters will refute you. I’m a lifelong practicing Catholic who has lived around tgecUS and nbseveral majority Catholic countries. I don’t think the paradise you describe exists. |
These are not differences based in fact but only a matter of opinion and sweeping generalizations. You also seem completely paranoid. You have no clue what’s going on at church here. If you did you wouldn’t be posting this nonsense. I hope you did not take communion. Of if you did, you went to confesssion first. The differences I see are that you don’t know the basics but want to make statements about the superiority of Catholicism in your parents home counttry which is a big secret. |
Is it secret because she’s Melania? |

If you are such a good Catholic why are you so combative, negative and accusatory? Should't you have feelings of good will towards all people if you are such fine Catholic? I did not sweep generalize. People in the said country are really like this, especially from the large region where my parents live. I know it's hard to imagine that there are people with different priorities elsewhere because here people are so embroiled in everything but the Bible. There are lengthy discussions about everything else related to the Church except the Bible. I also did not say that the way in the said country is superior. It is different. And it is the reflection of what population cares about. As with everything, any institution is actually the reflection of its populace. Instead fo pontificating, you could do some soul searching and learn something from other people. |
