21K off the student loan and 34K for a new car.... Having under 100K in SL seems more palatable than over 100K...

nice work! it's not a windfall this year only, so in the next years you do something else and slowly get where you need to be and what you want.

1K for blow and hookers

I agree but at the same time I am really tired about her complaining that she has been without a car for such long time.

Once you pay that student loan down, you can work on saving a decent sized down payment for a car - don't eat out for month and cut other little expenses, it all adds up. As pointed out, you can get a practically new Corolla for less than 15K.

Nobody posting about making $200K+ is trying to scoot around in a Corolla. Cmon now!

I make 350K, 1 mil house, no debt outside mortgage. I bought a 2009 Rav4 limited V6 with 50K miles for 17K cash from a dude on Craigslist in 2014. It now has 77K miles on it and cost me very little to maintain and runs like a dream. I'd consider a new Corolla luxury and fun. Whenever I rent them when I travel, they give a smooth ride and are great on gas. They're easy on insurance, too.
