| There are a ton of choices, so we asked our pediatrician, who recommended Gerber Good Start Gentle for combo feeding. Who knows if it was the best, but our baby drank it and we were done thinking about it! Pick someone you trust and try what they recommend! |

Similac Pro-Advance. It is what she got at the hospital after hypoglycemia sent us to the ER on day 3. She had that until my milk came in, then started supplementing her a couple weeks ago at 10 months old. We figured she didn't have a problem with this formula in the beginning, and she takes it well without any problems now. Also, it tastes like my breastmilk and is one of the few formulas that has lactose as its sugar (vs sucrose or other sugar).
Thinking about switching to Kirkland though since it's made by Similac. For those who find it foamy, do you find it helps to mix it up the night before using it - is the foaminess gone the next day? |
My daughter flat out rejected Alimentum. The first bottle she unhappily choked down about 1/2 of it and the second time it was offered she started crying immediately and wouldn’t drink anything. Definitely get samples and test before buying giant canisters of anything. |
| Hipp!! First dr Browns then advent. Bottle didn’t matter to kid. |
| Personally, when I was looking for a formula for my child, I could not decide for a long time which one to choose, because from a bad formula, the child can have stomach cramps and can cry for a long time because of the pain. But in the end, I settled on the Hipp formula because a friend recommended it to me and in fact the formula is very high quality and good. It was also very convenient that I ordered it from the online service onlyformula.com where you can buy a large amount and they will deliver everything home to you. In general, it is very good that such services exist, they are very convenient because when you have a small child you do not have a lot of free time and the opportunity to simply order a baby formula is very cool in my opinion. |
| OP every once in a while someone on my parent listserv writes in desperately seeking Hipp or Holle formula because they ran out and can't get it fast enough from online. I would only use those as a last resort. Our favorite was Enfamil Neuropro (the yellow tub). Gerber Good Start was okay but DD liked Enfamil better. Enfamil Gentleease was the worst for her - she threw it all up. Every baby is different. |
LOL |
This poster resurrected this year old post to spam their website. |
| We used Hipp formula and Avent glass bottles |
|
Similac Advance ready-mixed formula (pricier than powder but the convenience was more than worth it)
Dr, Brown's bottles |
| first kid was on allimentum. Kid #2 was on Costco Kirkland brand. |
| We've been using Similac- various types as we got a few samples from our pediatrician and buy whichever kind is on sale/has the best value. Works for us! |
|
Similac Sensitive.
Lol to all of the fancy organic ones. |
| Seems like you are getting a lot of good advice. After discussion w my ped I went w target. I briefly used similac which is what we got at hospital but my baby actually did better w target. I exclusively formula feed. |

We used Enfamil Enspire. I did lots of research (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXPcjFlEKJ4)
But if your family has issues like Type 1 diabetes you may want to consider another formula |
