Help! My Ego electric mower won't start

Anonymous
My new 56 volt Ego lawn mower won't start again after it stopped abruptly because it hit an obstacle. The battery is fine & is charged. It has the double mulching blades installed. The inner blade looks fine, but the outer blade's cutting edge at one end was damaged. So, I need to buy a new pair of blades. But, the big problem is that the mower is completely silent when I try to start it. Does the Ego have a replaceable fuse somewhere?

The grass was a bit higher than normal and slightly wet...So the little light flickered a bit and then died. The battery works just fine (tried it in my neighbor's Ego and it worked fine). I cleaned out the undercarriage (and yes, there was a lot of grass stuck in it). But it still isn't starting....DH gets home Saturday and will not be happy about this...Any ideas? Anyone experience something similar?

Here is the problem. The eGo lawn mower has a problem with the folding arm. When you fold it for storage, and unfold it, and do this several times, the aluminum (not copper) electrical connection in the arm of the mower becomes damaged. This is a known problem. Call eGo, tell them about the yellow light and the mower killing, etc, and they will walk you thru ensuring that the battery isn't bad (it isnt) and will refer you to a warranty dealer. I had to drive about 45 minutes to get there. They gave me a new mower on the spot.

This might well be the solution for the person who just posted in this thread, too. There's a repair place in Rockville that fixed mine a few years ago.
