So, this is technically true. But when a SAHP
(someone responsible for child care during the hours a partner/spouse is at work) is looking for extra income, but ISN'T looking to "go back to work", it means he or she is looking for the type of work you can fit in around the baby's nap, the toddler's playgroup, or the preschooler's nursery school hours; or evenings, weekends when their partner can tap in... but be able to drop if their partner is on travel that week. It's a kind of flexibility that most jobs just don't have, which is why it is a lot different from just saying "I want to go back to work part time" (which usually implies you will be looking for some kind of part time child care."
OP, the simplest way to earn some extra money as a SAHP is to provide occasional child care for a child your own child's age.
