"I’m gonna begin this post with the same disclaimer that needs to come with every post about Michael Wolff, which is that Wolff is a fart-sniffer whose credibility is often suspect and who represents the absolute worst of New York media-cocktail-circuit inbreeding. But in a way, it’s fitting that our least reliable president could finally find himself undone at the hands of one of our least reliable journalists"

Thanks for posting, what a great read. And yes, that's what it comes down to - Wolff tossed decorum aside and went straight for the throat. He infiltrated and got folks around Trump confiding in him and got his story.

+1.

No one is shocked or surprised by what is in the book. Seriously, what does that tell you?

It tells us that our democracy is rotted to the core.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is. Is Trump hugely egotistical manipulative narcissist? I don't doubt it. These are desirable traits in his position. Is he incompetent? Making liberals angry isn't incompetence, it's good fun.

trump is making Republicans angry and frightened too, PP. There is no "good fun" in having an incompetent and possibly mentally ill president.

I’m halfway through Wolff’s book and what surprised me is how snarky funny it is.

The description of Stephen Miller for example-‘he was brought in for his political expertise but no one could figure out what that was. He was a speechwriter who had trouble writing bullets, a supposed intellectual who knew nothing about policy, a communication specialist who knew couldn’t get along with people...”

And Ivanka-her voice evolved over the years from Valley Girl to Disney Princess...

Why do you hate half of your fellow citizens so much that you rejoice when they feel sorrow at what's happening to this country?

Found this tweet interesting........

This guy is a hack. He claims to have information on the inner workings at the WH, yet he talked to NO cabinet officials, nor did he speak to the VP.
I cannot believe anyone is considering any of the information in this book as valid.

Actually, watching Trump blow a gasket over this supposed "fiction" is good fun. Knowing that he is probably using his many "executive hours" reading this book and watching CNN while turning red and steam coming out of his ears is "good fun". The less time he has to do things to f*up this country more than he has already, the better we all are. The only negative for all his "executive time" is probably that's when he goes off on a twitter rant. You know when he's taking his "executive time" because that's when we start seeing his twittering rants.

of course they can't deny it. There are audios, unless they do a Trump move and question whether that's really them like Trump has been doing with those now infamous Access Hollywood tapes. They should just do that and say they are just following the Dear Leader's examples.

Because he's a deplorable. 100% selfish sh1thead with no morals.

No one is surprised and not one person interviewed is denying what they said.

The book is all truth.

Truth? Wrong.
Gary Cohn has denied a “ridiculous quote” attributed to him. https://www.cnbc.com/video/2018/01/05/white-house-gary-cohn-denies-ridiculous-quote-on-trump-in-wolff-book.html
Thomas Barrack has denied a statement attributed to him. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/these-claims-in-michael-wolffs-explosive-new-trump-book-are-being-challenged/
This is just two. Just to prove your statement false.
Heck, even Bannon is saying his “reporting” is inaccurate.

Do you mean some aspects ring true and confirm individual’s biases? Is this what you mean? And you must mean very low triple digit IQ: the author’s own note - in the beginning of the book - claims he presents conflicting representations and printed accounts of people he trusted more.

This man trusted BANNON — a man who lead a revolution and slit his own wrist during the power grab of governing. Honestly, thisfact alone shocked me bc I have NEVER even read about a strategist doing this previously in history. Learning about it in real time is fascinating palace intrique but, gossip.

Precisely. I'm embarrassed for the liberals who are salivating over what amounts to no more than gossip. The author himself says it's for the reader to decide what's true. So essentially, he's written a novel.

Exactly.

Not exactly. The author said that there were places where there were differing accounts and he provided both to let the reader decide.

Trumpers having a really difficult time with this distinction. They also keep tipping their hand; I don't think there's a Democrat who's reading this book and not taking a jaundiced eye toward it all, using critical thinking, looking for themes.

But I sense that Trumpers, like their dear leader, don't have a lot of experience with books, non-fiction or otherwise.

Funny.... nonfiction is most of what I read. And, I am a Trump supporter.
I can assure you that Wolff’s book is fiction. Possibly in the fantasy realm.

LOL - Oh, since you're assuring me then I guess it's true.

How upset have you been over Trump's lies? You think those are just dandy, buddy?

You people. Or bots. Or something. You're really pathetic.

The question is, when will the GOP grow a pair and do something patriotic for its citizens, instead of being the bastion of self-serving monsters hell bent on creating an oligarchy system?

When they lose in 2018 and/or they feel that they have more to gain by going after Trump than by standing by him.
