My wife had pitocin and they made her vaginally deliver, oh and they would not let her have a c-section, and oh the baby was high risk because of a two vessel imb cord. oh and she was 12 days past due, and when they broke her water it was mucusy looking, and my daughter had meconium aspiration and nearly died that night, and was tooken to OU medical center where she fought for her life for 2 and a half months. but thats ok we are taking that doctor to court!! and suing the crap out of her!!! you think we have a case? lol |
I had two pitocin induced vaginal births. My son had several serious heart rate decelerations and ended being born with severe respiratory distress. According to a lawyer he should have been born 2 hours before he was via emergency c-section as the monitor showed the distress. He had and still has developmental delays. But we have no case due to a family history of developmental issues. I was on oxygen throughout most of my labor. The doctor showed up twice, once at the very beginning and once when I was pushing, She never bothered to check in again.

I had pitocin (low amnio fluid) and my child started having decels shortly after they broke my water. They turned the pitocin off, she was fine, turned it on, more decels. But I think they were just happening because the contractions were coming back to back? Eventually they were able to turn the pitocin back on slowly and I did deliver vaginally.
I was already kind of well on my way to labor when I was induced (already 2-3 cm dilated, had been having contractions, etc). I wonder how many women who really start from zero labor make it to vaginal birth with pitocin. |
I did. I was induced for medical reasons at 39 weeks and absolutely no signs of impending labor. Had a text book delivery. My DD spent a few days in the NICU, but that had nothing to do with the pitocin but the medical reason I was induced for in the first place. She is now a thriving 2.5 year old. |
Was induced twice with pitocin, delivered vaginally both times.
I went into labor naturally with my first and received pitocin about six hours after I got to the hospital. There were decelerations, but I got oxygen and the L&D nurse scratched the baby's head and the HR would come back up. Then it stopped coming up (about 3 hours in) and the dr used forceps. Baby was fine. |
