She's "special" because her dad was born a prince and his mother was Diana who was wildly popular, no different than any Hollywood celeb kid. She's talked about because for some inexplicable reason the British royal family gets coverage in the US media. Front page of the Washington Post with all the headlines about US goings on there is almost always a blurb about Charles and Camilla or Will, Kate and the kids. The U.S. is no longer a British territory and hasn't been for some time, but the Brit royal PR machine seems determined to maintain a presence in America to capture the mystique like Diana as if their longevity depends on it.

Really cute kids and I love their clothes. Kate and William make a very good looking couple. They look regal and very impressive.

They don't seem happy together to me. They both seem happier when they are away from each other.
They are not good public speakers at all. William is shockingly bad given his upbringing. I give Kate a little more understanding because of her background, but 7 years in she should be better.

Those pictures were specifically chosen because they were awful. Some parents seem to think dressing their little girls in things you could find in Forever 21 is adorable. I'm not one of these parents. I think the way Charlotte is dressed is perfectly charming and age-appropriate.

Americans have such weird obsession with the British royals. They aren't particularly good looking, they have little charisma, and they are in their position by happenstance (born in to it) or because they plotted to get there (Kate). The fetish over them is strange.

Teut me, Most Americans don't care. It's the Diana STANS who have transferred their obsession to William and Kate and now their kids. The media plays into that obsessed fandom because they buy or download anything with them in it=business.

At least with Diana you could argue she did some good for the world, not so much With William and definitely not with Kate.
