When did your kid master the monkey bars?

I always hated them. I’m perfectly fine.

I’m pretty sure I didn’t master them until I was 11. Oh well.

I could never do the monkey bars when I was a kid. I joined the marines from college and now I can do monkey bars with full kit (32 yo female). I'm pretty sure none of my monkey-bar-mastering childhood friends can do that now

DC 1 managed by about 6 after a lot of OT.

DC2 was told nto to by physical therapist due to low tone and loose joints (high risk of repeated dislocation). Tried it anyway, split chin and concussion. Never did it again. This hasn't been an issue since about 4th grade.

One kid was 6. My other is 9 and I’m not sure he has actually mastered them yet.

I didn't know this was such a big deal. (I;m being snarky but also serious). When did this become a developmental milestone? I'm not sure I could ever do it.
