I saw at his picture; he looks great for an "old guy".

It's not a recent picture. He has been a teacher over 40 years.

what exactly is your point? he's old? so what.

As usual this has turned into an unnecessary FCPS thread. Do you all hear how you sound? Instead of keeping the post about how beloved and respected this teacher is you are all commenting on his age and looks. Fairfax people never fail to disappoint.

The number one factor that Longfellow has been so successful is because of its student demographics. There are constant supplies of extremely high IQ students year over year, which would make any teacher look good.

Just say you hate teachers it would be easier.

DP. Longfellow has been fortunate enough to have many strong teachers over the years. But its success hasn’t hinged on any single teacher, but on the larger school community.

This thread was brought back from 2016. Come on, someone was just bored or wanting to stir something up.

Predictable putting down teachers suggests you do the same.

It’s hardly putting down teachers to point out a school not only survived, but thrived, after the departure of a well respected teacher eight years ago. To the contrary, the fact that there were other strong teachers is part, though certainly not all, of the reason why.
