My high schoolers play it on the bus. Or at least a version of it where they use the cards.

But I wouldn't let 10-13 year olds play. 15-17 is completely different.

There's a group of kids who have gotten into the game, and I'm wondering the appropriateness for ages 10-13. Or is this a thing like the killer video games, Call of Duty, etc. -- rated 17+ but everyone just plays.

Totally inappropriate, and I am a fairly "liberal", non-religious person. Have you looked at the game?? I am in shock and slightly horrified to see people on here saying they'd let their 10 -12 year olds play??? And this is part of the reason our kids today seem to be 10 going on 20........ NOT GOOD

Agreed, for my 11yo daughter. I love the game, but I have context for some of the awful stuff and I play with friends who have similar context and boundaries. The humor is in acknowledging the over-the-top awfulness of the combinations. But a tween, or even most teens, won’t have that understanding.

Also, my Google search recommendations have never recovered from looking up some of the terms I didn’t know.

Nope nope nope. I have no issue with my child reading any book he wants, but cards against humanity is intentionally racist/degrading/disgusting. I learned so many inappropriate things as an adult playing the game--I don't want my high schooler involved in that.

I played with relatives on vacation. The youngest player was around 16.

I think it was fine, but I really can't imagine any younger. My oldest is 9 and he would definitely have no idea what most of the stuff meant, nor would I let him play any time soon.

Cards Against Humanity is awful for everyone, let alone tweens. Hipster white boy shock jock humor that's not clever or funny at all.

"Not Parent Approved" is a kid-friendly version of this game...totally kid appropriate. Think smelly socks and mild potty humor

No - I would never let that age play. I think the first time my daughter played she was a sophomore or junior and it was with friends.

But 10? That is 4th grade. No way.

15+ due to how explicit, crue, and vulgar it is. One of my favorite games, but I was Urban dictionary-ing so many of the things when I was in my early 20s and was shocked.

to be honest, even at 16 I bet there would be cards that I didn't 100% understand! Not many but at least a couple.

I think its most definitely in the "for adults" camp. I feel like college would be the most appropriate entry TBH. I wouldn't bar my late HSers from it or anything but its not really "appropriate" for them either. Heck, the whole point is that its inappropriate!

I agree that it should be 16+ and they will not get a ton of the things. Hell in my mid-20s I had to urban dictionary a lot of things.

Mid-40s; had to do the same. No way would I let my tween play.

No to Cards Against Humanity for tweens or teens. Late high school (when they're a little beyond the permission point) or college.

Not Parent Approved is pretty fun for kids and tweens (as I've played with many kids and tweens) and the parents and other extended family members are usually laughing too. I don't think the 14+ age group would love it.

Bro she could be reading fifty shades of gray, and listening to cupcakkes deep throat, but CAH is inappropriate?

Yup, this. It's like frat boys drew up those cards. I wouldn't let tweens/teens play. I barely find it appropriate as an adult after a few glasses of wine.
