I wish everyone could take this advice and cause this great institution to finally reevaluate it's very serious problems. I've heard these stories for over a decade and they still suck. |

Do not go to BCH with any illness that could in any possible way be deemed to be psychological. Long history of BCH working to remove parental custody (even for out of state parents) for what they call medical child abuse--including too many doctors' visits to get at the bottom of a chronic undiagnosed illness. Severe antipathy to diagnoses of mitochondrial disorder or PANDAS.
My niece did a nursing rotation there and said there was constant talk and speculation among the nurses of which children had parents were over-medicalizing their child's condition or perhaps abusing them. Seems there is a culture of suspecting parents are not doing right by their children. |
