I have loved Patrick Dempsey for over 20 years. Long before McDreamy...but he really is a late bloomer!

I disagree... I think you DO have to be gay (or bisexual) to find a member of your own sex "sexy". That's the definition. Sexy is what gives you the tingles. It's what arouses you. And there just aren't any women who make me squirm that way. I can't imagine enjoying that kind of contact with a woman.

Of course, there are lots of beautiful women. Is that your question? Who do you find beautiful? Because it's not the same thing. Some of the men I find very very sexy aren't magazine-handsome. It's their personality (or often a character they're playing) that does the trick.

Funny that nobody has mentioned Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt is too plastic. Too perfect. He's in the same category as Antonio Banderas and Taye Diggs, in my mind. Hot, yes. Sexy, not really.

And yes, Patrick Stewart was Captain Picard in Star Trek the Next Generation. I liked Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker) when I was a teen. Since then, I've always had a thing for rugged, furry men!

I don't at all agree that one must be gay or bisexual to think a person of the same sex is "sexy." The OP didn't ask who you want to go to bed with, after all. Finding someone sexy or sensual doesn't necessarily imply that you want to have sex with that person. If it does, you're probably thinking in pretty narrow terms. Or you're a bit homophobic.

Not in the least. It's probably just a question of how we're defining the word. I'm the PP who said that Brad Pitt is hot, but not sexy. That is, I think he's very handsome, but I can't imagine having a roll in the hay with him. My fantasy men are the ones who seem more real to me. There's so much sloppiness in the way we speak these days. What's wrong with defining "sexy" as "someone you see in a sexual light"?

Frankly, to accuse me of homophobia because my language use is more precise than yours is pretty laughable. By the way, I don't think cars are "sexy" either, but Madison Avenue tends to disagree. I think you're a victim of the advertising age.
