Seems to me, the bolded are also espoused by liberals. Now what? |
"Espoused by liberals?"
What's that supposed to mean. Conservatives are fine with prisoners being dumped on the streets due to overcrowding? I don't think so. Conservatives are fine with destroying the middle class? Conservatives don't have utopian visions like libertarianism? Sorry, those aren't specifically "liberal" positions. |
Why can't metro drop all ads, period?
Must we have ads everywhere? |
You are obviously a troll because you are so wrong. First Amendment rules protect her speech as well as yours. |
Unless you are Muslim. In which case she thinks First Amendment rules should be chucked under the bus. |
Freedom of Religion is just that. |
Sikh temple shooting. |
The ACLU is suing Metro for disallowing political ads. Plaintiffs include abortion provider Carafem, PETA, and Milo Yianno-whatever. Strange bedfellows.

Well, since customer service is practically non-existent, how else will Metro survive? |
True liberals defend principles even if they dislike the subject. Unfortunately this case probably has two winners and two losers. PETA and the ACLU had true issues oriented ads. The milo ad and the drug ad merely promoted a product for sale. Perhaps not everyone likes the product, but there it is. |
Those ads, if the ran, would be defaced in record time. |
Metro might now be forced to earn back its customer base. |
LOL what some people seem most upset about is Geller's cleverness in exposing the hypocrisy of the left by forcing the WMATA to take action demonstrating a legitimate fear of Islamic violence which speaks far more powerfully than a mere ad. |
If you'd like to pay higher fares and have more of your taxes go to support Metro, sure. |
Dude - you're fighting the two year old fight. Read the update from THIS August. ACLU is suing metro. |
