I've never understood the Tom Cruise / Nicole marriage. Her devastation makes it look as though it was a real marriage. Yet his marriage to Katie Holmes looked a lot like a standard Scientology beard marriage (John Travolta, the Pinkett-Smiths).

Kidman was 23 when she married movie co-star Tom. She was in love. Only later did Scientology choose Tom as the anointed one and determined Nicole to be an impediment -- thus forcing their breakup. But as they say: the deeper the sorrow, the greater the joy. Hello Keith Urban.
