NAACP is investigating

I don't like what happened between the principal and the teachers, but how on earth is this the business of the NAACP?!

Al Sharpton is probably on his way into town as I write this.

Based on this article, it sounds like the administration took action after the teachers went to a coordinating parent group to complain about what was happening in the classroom. Teachers say they are going to resign, parents decide to hire a mediator. Principal fires teachers. Sounds like she did the right thing.

Hope the principal is getting the support she needs.

I"d love an update on this. My kids aren't at this school but the whole thing sounds crazy.

No one knows exactly what happened, but principals can terminate teachers for insubordination.
I am sure she will have dozens of candidates to fill in the vacancies.

Ha ha ha ha ha

Right.

Those good teachers are lined up around the block. Can't wait to work in s school where teachers are dragged out in front of children. Step right up for this lucky job offer. All the best pushing their way to the front of that line.

How are things now? I just got an offer. Looks like a winner.

1. What is it about DC that attracts such idiot/ego-tripping, power-playing school administrators?

I wish I knew, but I suspect it's the same thing that attracts idiot, ego-tripping power-playing people too. The school administrators are the ones that didn't get jobs on K st or the Hill.
